About this Cause

Denim Day is a global movement that began after a controversial court ruling in Italy in 1998, where a rapist's conviction was overturned because the victim was wearing tight jeans, implying consent. The day encourages people to wear jeans to show solidarity with survivors of sexual violence and to highlight the harmful effects of victim-blaming. All month long, help us raise funds and fight victim-blaming. Put together your "Jean Team" to show survivors you stand with them.
